DYNOMAX® DESIGNS SPECIAL SYSTEM FOR ‘WD-40/SEMA CARES’ 2010 CHEVROLET CAMARO

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 3, 2009 – DynoMax Performance Exhaust – a leader in exhaust technologies for muscle cars and other applications – designed and engineered a complete DynoMax stainless steel exhaust system for the WD-40/SEMA Cares Camaro. During the 2009 SEMA Show, the project vehicle will be located at the main entrance of the Grand Lobby, between the North and Central Halls, close to the front doors.

DynoMax is among several leading aftermarket companies to participate in the build for WD-40 and SEMA Cares, the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s charity arm. DynoMax exhaust systems and components are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc. (NYSE:TEN).

WD-40 and SEMA Cares asked DynoMax to build the exhaust for the 2010 Camaro for the 2009 SEMA Show. The 2010 Camaro will be auctioned at the Barrett- Jackson Classic Car Show and Auction, January 18-24, 2010, in Scottsdale, Ariz. Proceeds from the sale will go to Childhelp, Scottsdale, Ariz., and The Victory Junction Gang Camp, Randleman, North Carolina, children’s charities.

DynoMax partnered with David Chappelle of Chappelle’s Exhaust and Kustom, El Cajon, Ca., and Troy Downey of APE Wraps, Coronado, Ca., to design the system specifically for the WD-40/SEMA Cares project vehicle. DynoMax plans to use elements of the design in production for 2010 Chevrolet Camaros later this year.

“The chance to participate in such a dramatic build for the SEMA Show, and have it auctioned to benefit these organizations is a win-win for us at DynoMax,” said Joe Pase, director, performance brands, Tenneco. “We know the 2010 Camaro is going to be the hottest car at the SEMA Show, and this is just the most exciting way to launch the DynoMax system. It’s the epitome of ‘Pure, Unadulterated Power.’”

The WD-40/SEMA Cares system also includes several design and engineering enhancements chosen with the discerning Camaro owner in mind.

“We built this system specifically for the SEMA Show. It’s loud, it’s powerful and it looks awesome,” said Pase. “You’ll definitely see key components of this build in our production system when it’s released later this year.”

DynoMax engineered the system specifically for the 2009 SEMA Show, and it includes 2.5-in. all stainless steel, mandrel bent piping and a power-improving DynoMax Ultra Flo X muffler, a unique muffler that utilizes a 3-in. internal x-pipe balance tube that promotes scavenging and equalizes flow.

The DynoMax Ultra Flo X muffler features stainless steel construction for lifelong protection and 100-percent welded construction for maximum durability. The muffler also features exclusive Continuous Roving Fiberglass (CRF) technology that absorbs unwanted interior resonance and helps maintain a rich, performance tone. It was specifically designed for applications where a tight fit is necessary.

The new DynoMax WD-40/SEMA Cares Camaro cat-back includes high-quality, 409-grade stainless steel mandrel bent axle pipes to provide extended protection against corrosion and permanent discoloration and a set of 4-in. DynoMax stainless, logo-embossed tips.
