DYNOMAX® ADDS TO UNIVERSAL REVOLUTIONARY DRONE-FREE VT™ MUFFLER LINE

Coverage Increase of Company’s Patented Valve Technology Muffler to Include Special Truck-Specific Application and More

LOS ANGELES, Tues., Jan. 25, 2011 – DynoMax® Performance Exhaust has added three new universal part numbers to the revolutionary, drone-free DynoMax VT muffler line. The new configurations – including a special configuration developed for trucks – are now available at performance retailers throughout North America.

The DynoMax VT muffler is an innovative, high-flow stainless steel performance design that controls irritating drone while ensuring maximum performance on a full-range of applications for cars, trucks and SUVs. The muffler is 100-percent welded.

DynoMax has added a 3-in. single inlet/2.5-in. dual outlet 20-in. body length application for trucks (p/n 17963) and two 3-in. single inlet/outlet 14-in. body length applications (center inlet/side outlet, p/n 17949; center inlet/center outlet p/n 17962) to the product line. The VT muffler also is available in a side inlet/center outlet 14-in. body length and a side inlet/side outlet 16-in. body length with inlet/outlet bushing diameters including 2 ¼-in.; 2 ½-in.; and 3-in. sizes.

The DynoMax VT muffler features an exclusive, precisely calibrated patented internal valve that ensures maximum performance and provides a drone-free experience in the vehicle. The muffler also includes slotted bushing ends; exclusive Continuous Roving Fiberglass (CRF) technology that absorbs additional unwanted interior resonance and provides a rich, deep performance tone; and a show-stopping DynoMax VT logo-embossed body and high-impact micro-finish.

“The DynoMax VT muffler provides an exciting combination of maximum flow and a deep, throaty drone-free sound. The VT valve technology lets you hammer it when you want that raw exhaust sound and cruise with it when you want more comfortable sound within the vehicle,” said Joe Pase, director, performance products, Tenneco.

The DynoMax muffler’s proven performance advantage also can be seen in recent flow-bench testing of the DynoMax VT (No. 17956), MagnaFlow (No. 11226), and Flowmaster (No. 42541) products. The DynoMax VT muffler delivered 841 cubic-feet-per-minute flow, compared to 588 CFM for the MagnaFlow and 373 CFM for the Flowmaster.1

The muffler – engineered to deliver the DynoMax’s trademark “Drone-Free Performance™” – offers the flow characteristics of the legendary DynoMax Ultra Flo® Welded muffler, through a straight-through unrestricted design that is dyno-proven to support up to 2,000 CFM and 2,000 horsepower.

The stainless muffler is covered by a limited lifetime warranty and exclusive 90-day Performance and Sound Guarantee, an offer that lets enthusiasts try the muffler for 90 days. Consumers can return the product within 90 days for a full refund of its purchase price. Additional restrictions apply and can be found at www.DynoMax.com.
